DIY kitchen

We made this kitchen from an IKEA Rast table a while back. I mean, we started a while back but recently just finished it. It looks easy and it probably took Andy a few hours to make it but there were so many little things that we had to constantly change before the kitchen was officially complete. The hole Andy made for the sink was too big for the bowl we got and only after months of searching did we find the right size dog bowl for it. The burners for the stovetop were originally IKEA coasters glued down but Sean and Zack kept tearing them off that I had to paint them on the kitchen. It still looks incomplete but I am so sick of this thing, it will take me a while to get back to it and sew curtains for the left shelf and add a little trim for a bit of color. Sean and Zack still love to play with it and open and close the door to hide stuff in it.

  1. We thought about this, but we literally have zero room for another “fixture toy”. We use the kitchen counter instead.
