Bubble wrap art

Sean was finger painting and made a really cute bee on the paper and I wanted to finish it by making a hive. I thought bubble paper would work great for the hive so I looked around the house for some but couldn’t find any. Then I found a padded envelope, opened it, and placed paint on his painting tray. He dipped the bubble wrap side of the envelope into the paint and stamped it on his paper. There was some white space left so I cut a petal shape out of a sponge and had him stamp flowers to fill it in. I helped him with the red flower and he did the blue flower.

He did the bubble wrap hive a few weeks ago when my good camera was working. It’s dead now so I have been using my iPhone to take pictures so the quality of the top picture is better than this bottom one. I plan to finish off the picture by glueing some wings and antennae on the bee. He really enjoyed using the bubble wrap so we also made an underwater picture for my sister, Kim, with blue paint. Now I am looking for the bubble wrap with the big sized bubbles. Kids + bubble wrap = joy.
